Announcing: Womxn Act on Seattle

On January 21, 2018, the organizers of the Womxn’s March on Seattle invite you to join Womxn ACT on Seattle, a citywide day of learning, supporting, sharing, and acting on behalf of nonprofit organizations, grassroots and social justice groups in Seattle.

Last year, 175,000 people took to the streets to protest fear and injustice. This year, we seek to honor the anniversary of the worldwide Women’s Marches not by marching, but by supporting our communities and the people who have been fighting for fairness and equity for decades. We envision a day of action, not just demonstration.

On January 21, participating nonprofits and social justice groups will open their doors all over the city. Local businesses will host lectures and panels. In addition to on-site nonprofit events, there will be neighborhood hubs around the city. These hubs will serve as event spaces for concurrent events, grassroots groups who do not have a physical location, and general community building.

The organizers of the Womxn’s March will partner with Seattle Indivisible, who will run voter registration events in each neighborhood.

For a map and schedule of events, please visit keep an eye on the event webpage which will be continually updated as more events are added.  Some events already confirmed include:

  • Exhibitions and performances
  • Voter registration drives
  • Panel discussions and lectures
  • Potlucks
  • Trainings
  • Food and sundry drives
