Community Convergence

Since January 21, 2017, the organizers of the Womxn’s March on Seattle have received hundreds of emails from marchers and friends asking “what comes next?” On Friday May 19, join the organizers and over twenty local nonprofits for an evening of hope, purpose and action called Community Convergence.

The event

The event’s purpose is to meaningfully connect people’s skills with organizations that need them.  In the wake of the election, many new organizations sprouted up, and existing organizations were overwhelmed with new threats to the communities they serve.  Community Convergence is a three-part, immersive event that will help organizations find the people they need, help people find causes they can support, and inspire any and all who attend.

To make sure folks leave fired up and ready to go, a lineup of powerful, celebrated speakers will give lightning talks to lift our spirits and remind us of what we’re fighting for.  Speakers will be addressing the most pressing issues in our community and our country.  See the scheduled speakers here.

This event is for everyone.  Even if you are currently unable to get involved with a cause, come get inspired by your community.  The march toward justice is not over.
